Why is it good news to find something with the “face of God” on it?
Say you open a pack of Lays and find this chip. There are two possible causes. Either it’s the meaningless and random fluctuation of a complex system (which it almost definitely is) or it’s the hand of God himself and he’s doing magic tricks with potato chips when people are dying of AIDs.
So we’re all alone or our God’s a child. Is either one of those scenarios even remotely encouraging?
